With reference to your letter of the 6th instant, (58273/20) enclosing a copy of a despatch from the Governor
of Hongkong regarding the proposed increase of the number of
scholarships at the Hongkong University offered to Yunnan

Student s I am directed by Earl Curzon of Kedleston to state
for the information of Lord Milner that he entirely concurs
in the proposal.
2. I am to add that Lord Curzon learns with pleasure
that satisfactory reports have been received regarding the
two Yunnan Students, to whom scholarships were awarded
previously under the scheme in question.
